EJ is a Los Angeles native vicariously living out his father’s dream of one day designing buildings. EJ left aspirations for space travel to ground himself in designing closer to home. After professors in art and architecture took notice in Junior College, EJ took his talents to University at Otis College of Art and Design where he earned his BFA degree. Following University, he freelanced with lighting designers, contemporary artists, and local architect’s, fine tuning a holistic approach to projects and the user-end experience. Joining The Next Idea Group in 2018, EJ serves as a Senior Designer with over 9 years experience, leading projects encompassing single family residential, multifamily, commercial renovations, K-12, and contemporary art exhibits in the Los Angeles area. In his free time EJ enjoys being a plant parent and playing pickleball.
